The first annual Armenian American Writer's Dinner was held at Taglyan Hall in Hollywood on November 18, 2007.
The event's highlight was David Kherdian's signing the anthology titled Forgotten Bread. The book is a compilation of literary works by first generation Armenian-American authors, each preceded by an introduction written by a second generation Armenian-American writer.
A casual hour, before the main event, created a confortable atmosphere to meet and greet with great litarary figures such as Mark Arax and Aram Saroyan.
Forgotten Bread, provides an insight into the struggle of Armenian-American writers who made many contributions to the American literature. The book reveals how these authors have maintained their American identity while holding to their Armenian essence. It is a great source of inspiration.
