I am standing in the desert,
Dust in my eyes, lips cracked.
Come. Hydrate me.
Like the ancestors of this land,
I am dancing in circles.
Come. Reward me.
The cacti raise their arms.
I imitate their prayers.
Come. Rescue me.
The terracotta rocks stare at the sky.
I blush at this next thought.
Come. Arouse me.
Come. Soothe my blistering heart.
Come. Cool my restless soul.
Rain, come. Resurrect me.
Horses
The green serenity wraps my soul
singing the ancient chant of hte breeze
Trees dance at the festival of joy
Cutsying for the waves in the water
Ducks serenade wild flowersand dive
Gracefully in the silvery pond
The red horse of my heart rests today
It listens to the old trees' music
White horseof my mind gallops away
To thoseplaces forgotten by tears
I glance attheskies, clouds white and gray
Peace entersmy soul, binds me to earth
